Tiger Musky
This is a nice hybrid from a muskellunge and northern pike breeding.  Beautiful fish with color and pattern variations dependent upon the specific water and conditions in a particular body water.  This particular tiger musky came from the Eagle River Chain, June 2009.  The current World Record tiger musky was caught in Vilas County, Wisconsin.
Barred Musky
This picture is representative of a barred musky.  Sometimes mistaken as a tiger musky due to the barred patterning on the side of the fish.  The tail helps in identification by noting that the tail of a barred musky will be pointed.  The tiger musky will have a more rounded tail.  Also, the tiger musky stripe and spot pattern will carry through the head of the fish.
Clear Musky
One of the most common color variations in the Northwoods musky.  Sometimes these will have slight markings on them, but most often are relatively marking free, hence the name "clear musky".  This is the original coloring of the musky in Northern Wisconsin, as was introduced through the Wisconsin River system.
Clear/Silver Musky
Another example of what is probably the most common musky in Northern Wisconsin.  Notice how stocky and overall large this fish is.  This is common of the native musky from the Wisconsin River system.
